Really enjoy the process of buying the hat on online Oska was great service was excellent, responsive and love the hat highly recommended.

I purchased my new Panama hat (Oska very kindly provided advise for my old Panama – that I didn’t even buy from him… What a gentleman!) from Truffaux a couple of months ago. I wanted to wait until I had chance to wear it before posting my review.
Firstly, I must mention the tremendous help and advice given to me by Oska. I emailed numerous times, asking questions about the hats, what would suit me best, sizing etc. I always received a quick response, despite the 9 hour time difference. Oska’s advice was wonderfully friendly, professional, and very, very patient! Oska is obviously not only very passionate about Panama hats and hat making, but is also profoundly knowledgeable and skilful at what he does… I immediately felt in safe hands!
After a few hat recommendations, while Oska worked out exactly what I wanted and needed, we (and it was a joint decision) decided upon the ‘Cuban’.
Shipping was straight forward and speedy. My new hat arrived within a working week immaculately, securely, and beautifully packaged.
I couldn’t be more overjoyed by every aspect of the process, most importantly my new hat. Size wise, it is slightly large… I was expecting this as Oska, together the information on the wonderful Truffaux website and videos had said this would be the case – due to shrinkage (not everyone tells you this!). I inserted a few of the enclosed hat spacers, following the clear instructions… The fit was then great and very comfortable. I have since been able to remove one of the spacers as my hat moulds to my head and a near future (conditions and duration worn depending) perfect fit.
I have never been a hat wearer… I now look for any excuse to wear my ‘Cuban’, not that you should look for an excuse! And I wear it with love, pride and growing confidence. I am already looking at my next purchase from Oska and Truffaux – one of his beautiful Travellers.

I have been looking for an everyday hat that provides better coverage from the sun than a ball cap. The Cuban is a great hat comfortable and light while still being casual enough to wear anywhere.

Oksa was very helpful in answering my questions about selecting a panama and sizing. I went with the Cuban at his recommendation and man, it is an amazing hat! It suits my head shape perfectly, I've received lots of compliments on it, but most importantly, it is very light and cools my head astonishingly well. Just the slightest breeze and I've got instant a/c. Thanks Oksa!
