Doing the Photobooth Car is a lovely experience - talking to hundreds of people, giving them something beautiful, laughing, playing, cajolling, flirting, helping, thanking, drinking too much coffee, putting strangers in together, lesbians, street poets, lovers, old friends & families. A mixing pot of humanity, uncensored, where the people are the art, and they take the pictures. All of these people we played with for a while ... it feels personal ... real.
Most of all we see our art (the Truffaux) on thousands of people. We watch it transform them, bringing glamour where before there was nothing. Elegance, perversity, distinction, grace and plain old naughtiness - all from the donning of a beautiful hat.
