Saint Tropez 2010
1 August 2010
It has been a crazy long time since we have said anything - now is the time - we have traversed three continents, done supoerhero acts and finally settled in the old town of Saint Tropez with our new popup store. It is wonderful, astounding, confusing and beautiful. We are filling the streets with people in Truffaux, and Atticus is growing up first - walking the streets, telling people about hats and his life. We are across from the town hall in an 18 century building, next to a 15th Century church (with an organ & very loud bells), and below three stories of Comorian dishwashers (who are currently in Ramadan time and looking very hungry).
We have a lovely nieghbour called Chantal who is Atticus's French aunt & enjoys a good cup of tea with honey and soy milk. There is a Tahitian princess called Layka is helping run the shop and make the hats. Sometimes I stand in the store and listen to people talking six different languages, and we still don't speak French.
It has really worked out very well, and now we hope to settle in for an amazing 3 months getting to know this part of the world.

For a snapshot of our Saint Tropez store, have a look at this lovely blog (alas it is mainly in Norwegian) :
